I
have a USED OEM cross-brace from a C4 convertible that I need to get
rid of. It has all of the parts and hardware (afaik - what you see in
the pictures is what you get). I DO know however, that you need to
purchase your own "riv-nuts" that go into some existing holes under the
car. Pictures have been posted (4/14/10)![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For an explanation on its use, see this article… http://corvettefever.automotive.com/81472/corp-0605-chevy-corvette-c4-underbody-suspension/index.html I'm asking $250.00US + Shipping from Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33334 PS - This is a large, heavy item. Shipping (which you pay) might be a bit expensive. I WILL provide the shipping receipt showing the actual charges. |

That would be the large "X" brace that bolts up under the floor of the car, and ties the front/rear/side/side of the car together a little better. It was only used from the factory on the convertibles, but it WILL fit coupes. The holes for the bolts are already there on all of the '86-up cars, but you'll need the inserts(rivnuts) for the body, to install the bolts. If you have a coupe, you'll also need to install 4 studs down thru the floor...unless you don't care about the brace rattling.
The brace DOES help, even on the coupes. One word...it has to be removed to service the trans, since it does go under the trans pan on automatics enough to keep you from being able to remove the pan.

This pic is not a factory brace, but it's close....

HI Ken! Thanks for looking. The brace IS USED but in decent condition. Could use a can or two of spray-paint if the appearance of the bottom-side of your car is important to you. I live in South Florida; the Ft. Lauderdale area and I'm ASKING for $250.00 + shipping.
