Needed are 4 Dill valve stem caps for a '96. Marked Dill, 627,50. '94-'96 should be same. Bet your spare still has one..mine does. Also need OBD II access port cover. bagpipedave@yahoo.com

HELP! Plenty of chrome valve stem caps (I have a nice set I'll trade) but no origonal plastic caps. I've been calling all over the country trying to locate '94-'96 caps. If anyone wants to dress up their wheels the caps I have are beautiful. I know SOMEONE has a set in a box or on the shelf.

Thanks for the info. I found Brian's ad in the last issue and received a set of 5 from him in the mail today.

I have dreams of sugar plum faries and a top flight/performance award. I bought my car two years ago with 45,000mi and no modifications. I've put 20,000mi on it mostly on trips. I don't like to drive the car unless I'm traveling far enough to fully warm the oil. I live in Norfolk (my wife is stationed aboard the USS Bataan LHD5) and have friends in Jacksonville, FL, Louisville, KY and Rutland, VT. So while she is deployed I take trips.
I'm a member of NCRS (50140) and I'm working to understand the judging process and see if I can get the car ready by next spring. I've changed the Opti-spark, Radiator hoses, recarpeted the rear, replaced the sun visors and several broken plastic trim pieces.
Are you entering your car for judging?
I've found several parts for the LT4 which have different part numbers. The serpentine belt is different due to the 6300rpm redline and the air intake filter is different number. I've been in the local club for over two years but still haven't found any friends locally who are interested in NCRS.
I haven't been able to get photos on this site but if you contact me on e-Mail as bagpipedave@yahoo.com I have plenty of photos I'd be glad to share.

We bought a 1994 from the original owner last May. After much research on NCRS and joining the organization and the Carolinas chapter, we had the car judged in Feb. at a chapter judging event. First time out, we rec'd top flight to our amazement!! I would recommend purchasing the books they have available and try going to an event to watch the judges in action. We went to a regional judging in FL in January. There will be a Carolinas event sometime this summer yet if you want more information. The books are necessary so you are aware of what they are looking for in the originality and condition of your vehicle. Read, read, read. At the event in FL, we asked a lot of questions of the participants so we had an idea. The NCRS group is much different from a local Corvette Club. The Club is more of a social group who likes to own & drive Corvettes and have fun and go places. The NCRS group likes to own and drive Corvettes but are focused on the preservation and/or reconditioning the cars to their original condition. After the judging, then it becomes social. The people are very nice. But the 2 groups are totally different and people join each group for their own reasons.
