Thinking of a Corsa (with X pipe) on my '94 LT-1.

Have heard the Extreme system and it's a bit much for me, but the Touring and Sport are very similar to me.

Has anyone heard these 2 systems live?  I'd like a little more rumble that stock but not too much......

I like the warranty, looks and ease of install and don't mind the extra coin to get it.

Can I expect to pick up some power with this system? I also plan on a reflash at the same time to optimize A/F and timing.

Thanks.
C.

I just put a Corsa (sport) on my LT5 sounds good little bit raspy but I have headers. Good thing is absolutely no drone or resonance. the corsa has an h setup just before the resonator.  The fit was great.

Thanks WG -- I've been told that an X-pipe is optional on the Corsa. (no extra charge).
Don't like it raspy but I have no headers so shouldn't be an issue.

I like the sport but wonder if it's a bit loud.  The no drone character is a big attraction.

Did you notice any increase in power or was it so marginal that it's not noticed?

Colin.

Did my Corsa a few years ago, great fit and installation (on jackstands) was pretty easy.  Sound is better than stock at idle but really picks a growl at higher rpm's and WOT.  After some head work and cam, RR's, the sound got even better.  No drone, goes without saying, is a big plus.
Installed some ARH headers (another smooth DIY install), sounds very raspy idle and cruising and screams at WOT, definitely more rear wheel power.
As far as HP gain, hard to tell just after Corsa install, seemed better, but that's only a SOTP opinion.
IMHO, Corsa is one of the best spends I made, if for no other reason than not a whisper of drone.

Quite true JM -- hate the drone -- gives me a headache....... I can live with raspy if I need to no worries.

I haven't heard anyone who was unhappy with their Corsa system. Bodes well for the name.

They not the cheapest by any means but it appears that they are one of the best.

I'll keep the ARH headers in mind for the future.

Thanks for the reply JM --

BTW are you anywhere near Lewisburg? I have a friend there.

Cheers,
 Colin.

Lewisburg is about 2-2.5 hours away off of I-81, Bucknell U. is located there, I believe.  I'm in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Where are you in Canada, have spent extensive time in Ottawa and Montreal, really enjoyed  Ottawa, even in the winter.

Hey JM -- lived in the Ottawa valley for many years and remember the severe winters there vividly.

Great in the summer but cold, cold in winter.

Yes Bucknell is near Lewisburg --- my buddy's son attends there.

I'm now in Cambridge which is about an hour west of Toronto. About 5 hours from Ottawa, 6 from Montreal.

Nice here, much milder than eastern Ontario.. tho this year has been bad with a lot of ice, snow and cold.

And from Ottawa, I'll take the winter and the snow to stay out of the traffic in Toronto anytime!

Put Corsa's on mine few years back and I love them. Borla is way too loud except for the track. You can always tell when someone has one installed at Carlise, they want to make sure everyone in the place can hear them.

I've got 1-3/4 headers and it's just fine at highway speeds. Put the sound deadener throughout the cargo area to kill the tire road noise more than the exhaust but the exhaust is definitely more noticeable when the hatch is open with the 3" support in place.

I'm actually going to try replacing the middle resonator section with straight pipes. They are straight thro but they are heavy! I don't know how many returns they did to get the phase reverse but there must be a bunch.

CCO, If your still running cats you won't get so much of the raspy sound, I had to add cats back to mine for emission and it got rid of most the raspy sound. They sound great as stated in normal driving. At WOT they get loud! but how often do run that hard. You won't get extra HP from an exhaust system, but you will gain back HP lost in the factory setup anywhere from 8-15hp. The Corsa is a free flowing system no baffles, drop a golf ball in one end it will fall out the other.

LOL good analogy WG .. Smile -- Looking forward to the Corsa's in the spring. Did you get the sport or Extreme?

I was thinking of header for my LT-1 , I believe American Racing was mentioned but the price of $1800 put me off altogether. I'm wondering now if that was for the who system rather than just the header section.
$1800 sounds a bit outrageous for just headers.
