i have had an issue with my 90 for a while now. my ses light comes on and it shows a code 32. i have installed a new egr valve and solenoid, remove the intake and made sure it wasn't clogged. installed new tb and exhaust.
can't figure out why it keeps coming on. when i installed the exhaust i eliminated the precats, put a hi flow converter on it and low backflow mufflers. would anyone know if any of these item might cause this problem? thanks for any help.

Check out this link for some helpful insight into EGR operation, in particular paragraph #5

Dumb question to ask....but....you are disconnecting the battery, doing
a complete electrical drain on the entire system, and then reconnecting.
I am sure you are, but any change to the emission systems should be totally started fresh, existing codes cleared, and a re-learn (if applicable).
Not trying to insult, but I have done it with even a muffler change, even spark plugs....a fresh start is just so easy.

been there and done that
. it will come on when i am going about 60. the car still runs great but it is one of those annoying things. after all the aggravation i had getting this baby to run right ( after bubba got done with it), this is probably going to be one of those stupid little fixes.with me it is like a cut--big cut will stop bleeding quickly but a little nick will be the hardest one to stop.

Dave's been fighting this dang problem for a couple of years now! The car runs fine...no issues there, it just keeps popping the check eng lite, and setting the EGR code. He's done all of the troubleshooting by the book...even bought a scanner to help.
Dave, I hope one of these guys can give ya some relief on this issue...

toptechx6, that's some good basic info on EGR systems.
I don't think Dave's car has had any exhaust mods, but....it may be that the wrong EGR valve has been installed. That's something I haven't considered...
