I have no fuel pressure in my 1988 Vette, I know that it will not be fun to change the pump. I am sure that the rear bumper cover will have to come off, and then the tank moved around.... Tell me if there was some kind of easy way! By the way, mine has a 1996 style rear fascia.

very easy to change fuel pump. take off the gas door (4 screws) and remove the rubber that goes around the filler neck. d/c power and hoses and remove 8-9 screws that hold the pump assy in place and then lift it out. installation is the reverse of removal. good luck.

That was music to my ears.
I just did mine on my '84. It was less than 45 minutes in the Auto Zone parking lot.....one of the easier fixs on the 'vette for sure.

Remember, there's no place like ~ ;)
That was too easy! I've only had one other car that was this easy, and it was a 1999 Eclipse. You didn't have to lay on your back in that car either.
my service manual said the same thing, remove the filler plate and screws easy install. i just found out my pump is good however my fuel pressure diaframs are blown in the thorttle bodies. not that hard to change. just got to watch out for the spring flying up and hitting you in the head.
