I was moving it to cut grass yesterday, it crank right up drove about 10 feet and it cut off and would not start back. it is turning over fine but would not start. I sprayed starting fluid into it and it crank right up. so I assumed fuel problem not electrical. read all over internet and did a dumb thing starting replacing parts replaced fuel filter and pump {sending unit}.fuel relay tested with noid light all blinked but was real dim, tested injectors all read between 14 thur 14.4 has 43 ibs of fuel pressure at the rail have no clue any help would be great.

Need to determine if the injectors are actually firing. Just checking resistance will not confirm they work. If the injectors are not firing, the problem is likely the ignition module, or the ECM.

Hi..
My first post.. Hope I can be of some use.
This problem happened to me and as the L98 motor had 120k miles on it, I decided to refurb the entire fuel system. From tank to injectors. After completing this successfully, it still would run and cut off! ..doh!
Turns out the problem was the HEI chip in the distributor which was heating up, failing and being ok when it cooled allowing the motor to restart. I replaced the chip and condenser and it was all sorted..
Regards,
Steve
