Does anyone have any experience making an EGR pipe (exhaust to intake manifold)?

Are the connections standard threads? - can't tell because it is so rusty/carbon coated and it appears to have a couple of hose clamps holding it on.

I haven't taken it off yet because I am sure that it will fall apart.
