Hello, does anyone out there have Magna flows?  I have them on my 96 CE.  On deceleration
I get a bubling or gurgling type noise...not really a back fire but just a gurgling sound.  They are
rather pitchy...kind of hurt your ears on acceleration.  Does anyone have the same issue?

Thanks all!

Darryl

I have the stainless magna flows w/dual outlets. There has always been a little bit of resonance at certain cruising rpms. It's not a problem to me though overall I like the magna flow sound. i've read that resonance is much less on the magna flows with the single outlet (they look like factory LT1 tips), but I'm not sure if that's true.

I have no "gurgling" sound on decel. I imagine the difference is the fact that mine is a automatic and yours is a manual tranny.

Hey Guys,

For what its worth...I experienced the same "burbling" sound during deceleration when testing an 02 stick equipped with corsas.

Magnaflows have too much of a drone at criusing speeds, I had mine taken off and went with eliminator pipes I think it gave it a much better sound plus picked up crazy hp

If you have ever heard of glass packs? folks used to but a set get them hot then hit them with a hammer and let off the gas to get the burble music to my ears. I have a set of the Borla's on my 85 sound great but I do wish they didn't have so much drone. they give me a headache if I don't turn on the radio.LOL

I was thinking someday of changing out the stock system on my 95. I am concerned about the drone with some systems. I have heard that the Corsa cat back system has much less drone at cruising rpm. If this a fact the biggest drawback would be the price. They seem to be proud of their exhaust systems.

I have magna flow on my Vette, I love it I just installed a B&M Transmission and Coverter while removing the exhaust I was going to upgrade from muffler back to cat back and decided (after purchasing) to keep what I have. So II have a brand new in the box cat bacl system for sale, I will sell it for less the best price you can get, Please contact me lyleblarson@yahoo.com or 661-618-2648
