I live in Niagara Falls, 20 minutes from Buffalo. LaSalle Collison did the paint, i got a deal because they miscalculated the amount of work and paint needed. Originally they were going to just touch it up, but they couldn't match the paint. So I ended up getting a whole paint job...for half the cost...literally. I got quotes around 5 grand from almost every shop...so I got a hell of a deal.
As far as the black baby bumper....it's the original look...I don't like the look without it....just my opinion.
What a beautiful car. Trust me (I hate saying that) the only true owner crime is not enjoying the car you have. If you worry every day about what the next guy will think, you can’t truly enjoy what YOU have.
I take great care of my 90 base mod 6 speed car because I really like it just the way it came. I specifically looked for a Speed Density L98 car. I just think the look of the TPI is just sexy. Not some plastic covered everything real hidden volcano in a 6 year olds lunchbox. The only rival being the 1990 32 valve Lotus designed King of the Hill LT5.
It kills me when you see a classic roll across the auction block with no miles. Someone really missed out. I kept my mods simple. A BBK throttle Body, Flowmaster Cat set, and stainless Corsa exhaust. Just that made a noticeable difference. The length of your runners of the TPI will limit your horsepower but your torque can be beyond even an LS1.

I see you still have the crossfire going. Has it been good for you? I had it on an 82 Z28 that I dearly loved. The 5.0 hydrostatic locked bending a rod so I updated it to a 5.7, using an aftermarket crossfire intake and larger throttle bodies. For the time it would flat scream. I didn’t seem to have the gremlins some have had.

I modded mine. Engine work, 6 speed, dropped 1.5 inches and 335 on the rear. It's a lot of fun and really quick. I did go with ta carb, the air cleaner is in the hood scoop. I can't believe I've had it 15 years and put over 30k miles on it
How hard is it, to remove the seats to fully replace the carpet, musty odor do to a leak(I guess)?
Before laying out new carpet any suggestions to kill the smell ( not a flood car). Red 85 with 30,000 miles.

Seat removal is easy. The bottom cushion is held with a metal clip located below the front edge of the seat.
Unclip it and the bottom will lift out. Then you will see 4 bolts holding the plastic bucket to the seat rails. Take them out and the entire seat with bucket will lift out. Then you will find 4 bolts holding the seat rails. Remove them and unplug any wires.
Musty odor will likely resolve with old carpet removal. You may want to determine the leak source.
