WOW great article----I'd read a bit a while back about the "Speedster" but had never laid eyes on any pics. I'd say it's a awesome looking Vette ,except "awesome" really doesn't do it justice !!
Thanks for sharing with us.....great read

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
That was a nice article about a wonderful car. The stars must have lined up, because your article was out on Saturday, March 27th, and my grandson and I were at Corvettes on the Green car show in Scottsdale, Arizona, and saw that car and it won "Best in Show" on that very afternoon!
Talk about your crystal ball and our being lucky enough to see a legend in person.
(BTW, we moved out to Phoenix from, guess where, Annandale, where we lived within striking distance and our kids attended St. Michael's School on Ravensworth. Small world.)
I enjoyed your article on the Speedsters and hoping you can provide some information on the second Super Speedster.

I'm trying to find information specific to this second car (or production beyond two Super Speedster cars). Was it rebodied as the LeMans at a later time? I have pictures of a metallic brown speedster/super speedster with the standard speedster body I took during a Callaway shop tour. The interior appears to be the same between the car I photographed in Fall/Winter 1993 and the pictures on the web of the LeMans bodied car. To clarify, the car I photographed was reported to me to be a Super Speedster having a Twin Turbo ZR1 motor that was described as making 800hp. The car was marked with standard Speedster script.
I was able to find my pictures and while I remembered that the drivers side speedster wrap-around glass was cracked at the corner, I forgot that the front passenger side was damaged as well.
In researching this further, I found a post about Super Bourban (on TV4Autos), a Suburban built by Callaway that was used to tow the LM speedster. A post I found states the owner of Super Bourban is from Kentucky and the Speedster I photographed has Kentucky plates.
Thanks in advance for any information.
