I purchased a 1994 corvette c/4, and found out that there is no spare tire. Is it a temporary spare or a full size tire? I want to get a spare tire but don't know what size, or where to get one. No luck at the Chevrolet place.

Vette(s): 1985 Coupe-L98/Auto,Bright Red/Carmine.
1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
Originally it had a space saver spare. The tub is designed to hold the regular sized road wheel/tire, but it hangs down a LOT.

ok, thanks. I got a temporary spare ordered.
In my opinion spare tire should be a compact tire and rim , that s what I have and I'm the 3rd owner and have all records of maintenance here's my point since my tires are directional , CANT BE ROTATED why would anyone buy a full size tire , not knowing which tire will go flat. Mine is 93' C4 original and in glove box manual states tires should not rotated
There should be a compartment underneath the rear of your C4 behind the rear bumper. It's a temporary spare, not a full size spare because of the different size tires from the front compared to the rear. To obtain the spare, you would have to use the 19mm lug nut wrench supplied by the car to lower the spare down.
I had thought about that when a friend suggested using my old tire for a spare! I told him I couldn't do that and wanted to know why? It's like you said that the tires are directional. My only thought I had a 50/50 chance of my keeping the wrong side spare when I had a flat. I found a temp spare through the internet and now have it onboard with my new tires!
