My '84 does not have a RPO decal. Not under the console or in the rear storage area. I read somewhere that 84's did not come with the decal.
Is this true?

84's were shipped with the SPID attached. Almost always in the rear cargo bin. If its missing, you can obtain your build sheet from the National Corvette Museum if you want to know what options are on your car. I don't remember the exact price. About $40.00 with lamination and postage. Google is your friend.
the only thing in my rear compartments are the jacking instructions and tire rotation. this is in the right side in the left side is a bunch of codes curb weight etc.the center council has nothing except a little yellow sticker for emissions. my build sheet was under the passenger seat frame. the window sticker was in the back cover with all of the owners manuals . i called bowling green today and ask them about the production dates that the cruise control campaign was done. the lady i spoke to said call back in a couple of days and she would try to find something out about it. hope she can find out.

Service Parts Information Decal "SPID". What do you think the thing with all the codes on it IS? What exactly do you think those "codes" ARE? Graffiti? That's what I'm referring to. The SPID. Your car has one, and you can't even recognize that that's what I'm talking about? Sheese.
You spoke to Betty. She doesn't do that kind of stuff, I'm surprised she said she would follow-up. What's wrong with Google? I found it in less than a minute.
Here's the 84 Cruise campaign. (I give up trying to post it as a hyperlink. I hate this forum's format. Why can't it be V-Bulletin like every other car forum in the world. I can never get anything to work right with this board). Use cut and paste.

The yellow "emissions" sticker in your console is probably the campaign completion sticker for the cruise control campaign. I say this because there are no "emissions stickers" in the center console on production 84 corvettes.
I'm flabbergasted that you didn't recognize a bunch of production RPO's when you found the sticker. AND it says "Service Parts Information" right across the top of it.

I just looked at mine. I have the jacking instructions as well as the spare stowage instructions and that is it in the passenger side well. Nothing under the counsol. My car was just prior to #15000. Things did change by this time, such as the front wheel well weatherstrip. After this, the gas cap and wheel well weatherstripping again.
My cruise control campaign sticker was placed atop the radiator.
I'm sorry, i really don't have that much knowledge about corvettes. i only went out to my garage that doesn't have heat and quickly check out the stickers. man its very cold here. came inside to warm up my old bones. I'm glad to see that my car had the stickers on it. as soon as it warms up I'll go back out and look at them real close. I'm glad to see you have allot of knowledge on corvettes. your a big help when some one needs a question answered. i would have never known about the cruise control campaign. thanks for that.perhaps in the near future you could asst me in more information about my 84. also I'm sure there are more of us on this forum that could use your help.
I have tried to keep up on Corvettes since I first saw the 1963's at the Minneapolis Auto Show. They blew me away. But as the years go on, I find it harder to remember all the facts. I do pretty well though.
Another thing that you may or may not have is the Motor Trend Car of the Year decal that was sent to the original owners. It came with a credit card size squeege and instructions to attach the decal in the lower front corner of the rear hatch behind the driver.
Keep enjoying your car.
And I found this site full of facts and an RPO list with descriptions...all for the '84:
