Does anyone recommend a good place to go to purchase a keyless entry?
I have a 1992 Corvette and would like to add this feature for locking and unlocking the car.
Has anybody had any experience with doing this and any suggestions?
I appreciate your input.
Thank you,
Russ...

Most people I've known who have installed a aftermarket alarm over the OEM PKE system---seem to regret doing it because of problems which are created with the body/central control module. I've installed alarms before-- but never on a C4---so I can't speak from experience ----JMO

i had a remote start/ keyless entry system installed on my 90. was done at circuit city which has since gone out of business. they did have to install a vats bypass for the remote start but basically had no problems with it except when the battery in the remote goes dead and i can't figure out why it won't work. only other problem was with how they programmed it to work. they had it locking the doors when the engine was started which almost had me locking the keys in the car (if starting with key). went back and they showed me how to program in what i wanted and it has been fine ever since. the only thing i would suggest is make sure they put a kill switch if they don't use the open hood switch otherwise if you change your battery when you put power back to car the car will remotely start.

I purchased a viper keyless entry system and had it installed at auto image in brick nj.  They have locations throughout nj however viper is available through many dealers across the country.  I have had no problems with mine, in fact they even programmed it so i could open the rear hatch remotely.
