Hi, I'm new to this and may make a few mistakes along the way so be patient with me. Becoming a member of the Corvette Registery was suggested my another Vette owner. I think he got tired of me asking him questions about my Corvette. So, could anyone please help me? I would like to know if it's possible to find the "birthdate" of my Vette? I know it's a 1995, but I would really be interested in more specifics. If you could direct me to where this information is found I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks.
Rita

Hi Rita'
first off welcome! hope you find lots of useful info here. Do you by chance have the build sheet for the car? That would be the easiest...it is in box number 6 right at the top. if not there are sites on the computer that can tell you when your car was built by the VIN number. If you google that question a few pop up.
hope that helps somewhat or at least points you in the right direction...

Vette(s): 1985 Coupe-L98/Auto,Bright Red/Carmine.
1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
The tag on the door will give the month/year of production. The VIN will get it down to the specific day of the month.

I am considering to buy a 1993 Coupe from the original owner with about 2,000 on the odometer !!! Does anybody have any info about mechanical history of the 93. Is a price of 19,500 a good one? Let me know what you think!!!
Dan
Dan,
great find!
I would surely check every seal , gasket, weatherstrip, sidewalls of tires...basically anything rubber to see about dry-rot.....according to the latest CORVETTE magazine there is an article in there about c4's finally on the rise $$ wise. if yours is in good- to "show-room" condition the value for a coupe is between 14,500 and 23,000. rag-tops are more and of course the 4oth aniv. ed is even a bit more.....lets see some pics!
Jeff

Hi Rita, I think the compinine web site gives the exact date if you enter the VIN:

1996 LT4 Collector Edition
Thanks Jeff. This car is in Showroom Condition!! Tourch Red Outside, Black Leather inside. Has all manuals and paperwork, including window sticker and buildsheet!!! When I take possession of it I will post pics!!!
