why is everyone so negative on the c4s? even the ones who own them. especially when it comes to its value. call me crazy or retarded , however i think the values on the c4 will come in its own in the near future. yes they made allot of them however in time there will less of them out there. of course these vetts aren't called a high horse power machine, not like the holly Grail 67 vette. i would be opp to say you won't even be able to drive the holly grail of vetts in the next ten years, this is because of emission laws. among outer government regulations. there for saying this the c4 vette would meet the emission laws in the future if left stock. there for allot of vette enthusiast will be looking for the c4 to drive and collect. believe me its going to happen. what are your opinions about this subject

Cars are worth whatever a buyer will pay. Simple fact is there is not a strong demand for the C4's (among others) so the value is down. And there are still plenty of them out there on the road.
The ZR-1 and Grand Sport are limited production C4's, and even their values are all over the place. our cars will probably never achieve investment grade status in our lifetime.
Don't sweat it, just enjoy your car. If you like it, who cares what others say?

Vette(s): 1989 Red Convertible - 160,000 fun-filled miles -
For me, the C4 is a great affordable sports car and is a fun DIY project always needing some care. Plenty of technology and enjoyment for a 24 year old car with over 150,000 miles and still running strong
I bought mine to drive not to sell, so I really don't care, but for your sake I hope your right. As for me it's the ride, the run, the handling, and the fun that just seems to improve with age....

Vette(s): I have a 1991 Artic White, Red Interior convertible, 30,000 miles on it, & a 1993 40th Anniversary with 50,000 miles on it
I can't imagine what/why any one would have anything negative to say about C4 Vettes. Like has already been said, the value is based on how much the buyer will pay. I have two, a 1991 base model, Artic White, red interior, black top. I paid $17,000.00 for it, 28,000 miles, the car drives beautiful. Started taking it to local car shows. Liked it so much, I would drive around for a coulple of hours, but that was running up the miles. So I bought a 1993 Anniversary Issue, and that is my every day Corvette. It on ly has 50,000 miles on it. It's like owning two new, OK lightlt used Corvettes. Between the two, I have won 55 trophies in the past year or so. Paid $10,000 for the "93.
In the past year I have seen a lot, and I mean to tell you, a lot of Corvettes at all the shows. C3 Corvettes are pretty pricey if the are descent, or pn their way to needing a total restoration. The C7 is causing the "Sale" price of C5 and C6's start dropping like crazy. Great if you are a buyer, heart breaking if you are a owner. Keep it or dump it now. It is not unusal to see a C5 sell for 13 or 14,000 dollars.
The C4 is a timeless body style. You have to admitt, the C5, C6, and even the C7 have a body style very simular to the C4. I mean they look nothing like the C!, C2, an C3.
Power, tell me, how fast will your Corvette go thru a School Zone? If you have any sense at all, that is 20 MPH. Yeah I have seen cell phone video's showing the speedometer on a C5 Z06 at 200 MPH. How often are you going to drive 200 MPH. Watch out a serious wreck could end you C5 in the junk yard because the value has dropped so low, it isn't worth the repair bill.
If you don't like C4's, don't buy one, if you don't like the C4 you own, get rid of it. But don't knock them. Yes, guilty as charged, I love both my C4's. All right, I have ratteled enough.

I think they are going to climb like crazy in the very near future, and as I have already said, they are a timeless body style. They look just as nice as C5's, C6's, and even C7's.
I love my C4. Don't really care about any negative opinions from other Vette owners ( C3 C5 C6 )... Mine has the Z51 package and handles like you couldn't imagine. Did lots of upgrades and the car is pretty damn fast! Especially considering it was from the low HP years. I've had plenty of muscle cars in my day and my C4 is my favorite to drive! Theres alot to be said about hitting a 30mph turn doing 65mph and the car takes it like it's nothing. No dip, no sway... It's like it's on rails.. The best part is you can get one pretty cheap. So drive and enjoy it for what it is, a great sports car period!!!
I love the fact that I can drive my C4 to a show, park it with the top down and it's still there when I get back.

Like others here, I get lots of compliments, it's a blast to drive, and I don't have a car payment.
If it never appreciates in value, so what! I'm having fun with it, and my IRA can take care of my retirement.
Just enjoy!

Vette(s): 94 Black Rose Metallic LT1 Coupe, 63 Riverside Red Split Window Coupe Fuelie, and 2013 Torch Red 3LT Coupe
I Have A C2 (63 SWC Fuelie) And A C6 (2013 3LT Coupe) I've Never Liked The Way The C4 Looked, Lack Of Horsepower, Etc... Until I Bought One. It Was Cheap ($7000) In Good Shape And I ThoughT I Could Make It Look Okay For Car Shows. I Love It! If I Don't Have It Cleaned Up For A Show, It's My Daily Driver. My Only Complaint NOW Is How Much Has To Be Cleaned Under The Hood For Shows! I Have Definitely Been Converted!
