Love my '94.  good old american V8 grunt, front engine, rear wheel drive, huge transmission tunnel, even if it is mostly full of exhaust pipes etc.

Just enough room for me and the wifey to take a long weekend in plenty of comfort and as many MPGs on the highway as a boring Ford Taurus!

Its 18 years old now and takes me back to an era in this country before Socialism took over

Bring on the hecklers, flame suit on!

My 85 has over two hundred thousand miles on it. and it runs great. it has it's problems but I drive it everyday. My mom had a 63 split window but sold it before I was able to get my hands on it. I was sixteen when the 85 came out and I wanted one sooooooo bad it took me twenty seven years to find one that even I could afford and felt comfortable buying, kids grown and no need to have back seat. and I will drive and work on this one til the doors fall off maybe I will be the one to put four hundred thousand on it. and it will still outrun most vehicles on the road here. there is just something about the c4's that does it for me wouldn't have any of the others. My two cent's

Vette(s): 1996 collectors edition lt4 convertible 10,000 miles, silver exterior, black interior. purchased 4/20/12

The c4 was amazing car for it's time.Except for getting out it's the last of the true roadsters . The lines are refined, the interior is clean, and the motor lasts with less maintaince than most vettes. Not to mention it gets fairly good gas milage. Had 1-c3, 2-c4, and 1-c5,and now 1996 CE lt4 conv. Love them all. In my opinion the c5-c6 are more driver friendly with a broader selling market with all the bells and toys. But for pure driving and fun you can't beat the c4. So let's get into our c4 and get the blood flowing.

I'm really proud to have my '87.

I had a chance to drive a friends '82 back a dozen or so years ago. Frankly, I was let down a bit. While it was a treat to look at, it didn't drive with any purpose. A ho-hum experience. Not what I expected at all.

Last summer I finally joined the Corvette family and got my C4. The first time I drove one I was hooked and locked into finding one to call my own. The ability to push her into a corner and the feeling of being sling-shot out the other side is a blast. Pretty addicting. Damn fun.

If I see a new Vette parked at the mall or at the local cruise-in I'll slot mine in right next to it. With pride.......because the C4 represents the beginning of the new generation. When Chevy decided to re-do the design from the ground up that set the stage for the supercar we know as the C6/Z06 today.

So ladies and gents......fill the tanks and enjoy the heck out of the holiday weekend.

The weather finally cleared here and following a trip to the inspection station we were able to burn some gas. We swung into a used car lot when we saw a newer Z06 parked out front. I'll stop by again this weekend when they're open to see how much bark that one has. Nice to consider but my '87 is 100% mine and paid for. Plus it was pretty cool to see a group of mechanics surround mine at the inspection. They enjoyed looking at something other than the sea of Camarys, Civics and whatnot. Most of them younger than the car they were looking at. This turning out to be a great summer.
