Vette(s): 1993 40TH ANNIV. CONVERTABLE SIX SPEED 3,500 MILES
hold those C-4's  my friend . they are starting to go up in value. not that you want to sell yours. mecum sold one this year at palm beach auction. 1993 40th anniv  convertible six speed with 18 miles on her for a little over 50,000. of course this was high end example .  but I have a 1993 40th with 3,800 miles paid 27,500 and have a couple of offers around 30,000 and over.  just not ready to sell.  they are a super vette  and have some great  engineering. enjoy those C-4's.   bob

Vette(s): Purchased a 1986 Convert August 2013, Bright Red color with a black top, it'd already received a Tremec 5 speed upgrade along with a disc upgrade prior to purchase.
I have no intentions of selling my 86 vert.  I bought it to be a cruiser and cruise it will.  If people want to buy them as an investment, so be it but I bought mine to drive and who knows - I might be buried in it  Wink

On a long enough timeline, the value of anything reverts to zero.

"Value" is relevant to many things, depending on who is doing the "valuation".  In Venezuela, people would pay more for a roll of toilet paper than they would for a C4.  Everyone needs TP, no one "needs" a C4, and when there is no TP available for purchase at any price.... well the C4 isn't worth much to people that need to wipe their butt.

Vette(s): 95 blue 6spd. turned 60 something exploded in my psyche I had to buy one..
I bought mine at the Carlisle show last summer. after almost $2000.00 in repairs I fell that it is the best hobby car for my money. I love to drive it my wife likes it and rides with me often, she never much cared about my other projects. It gets lots of attention even though the paint is a little funny when you get close. I drive it whenever there is no snow or rain, and is dirty more than it is clean. Great performance for the money and effort. It has put the spark back in my 60 year old life. I have lost money on cars, but I hope that I will get my money back when I want another toy. PS I live just out side gate 3 of the Carlisle fair ground. Big yard if we would like to gather or visit

Vette(s): -1993 LT-1, Coupe, 6speed, white/black -1986 L98, Coupe, 4+3, Black - SCCA TT Racer -1979 L48 Coupe, Auto, Red/doeskin

Overall, I prefer Red on a Corvette. That is the color of my 79 C3 and I get cops and little old ladies (some not that old) waving at me as I roll down the road - It is a head turner.

Having said that - my 86 is satin black - and really looks sharp at the track. I don't drive it on the street so ....

My 93 is white and that is a color that has grown on me - it really shows the lines of the car so much better than darker colors.

All of them are priceless to me.  None of them are valuable in terms of money - any of the three could be had for the price of a new grocery getter.  I didn't buy them as an investment other than to keep me smiling and because I always wanted one.

I have three kids...all adults now...so I don't have to worry about selling them. They can each have one.

There is no problem a little horsepower can't fix!
