My favorites are the roads around Woodstock, VT. Routes 12 and 4. Goes through the beautiful VT mountains and great farm views. Takes you through little towns and is just a nice pleasant ride.

I'll say it does...most of the members here in the club have tried it and some friends who ride motorcycles--one of these weekends I've gotta make the trip myself.
i have heard about the tail of the dragon and it sounds great i wish it was a lot closer i just dont trust a 25 year old vette for that long of a trip plus then drive the dragon and back home to plymouth ma. i need a trailer so i can check out some of the places that sound good

[/QUOTE] I don't want to appear stupid here, but, I have to ask the question - what is the tail of the dragon? Can you give some details?

Click here to check out the TOTD. That stretch of pavement is todate the most fun I've had driving a car...!!! It's like being on a carnival ride (318 curves in 11 miles)...!!! There are a few others that rank up there, but the TOTD is at the top of the heap for now. Norsky 2009-04-26 13:27:25

The Tail of the Dragon looks like an awesome ride! I doubt I will ever get down there to drive it though. Too far for a weekend trip from Massachusetts. That's the beauty of this country, every state has something to offer. Being a Massachusetts native I can say we have lots of great roads here in New England, especially through New Hampshire and Vermont as well as western Mass through the Berkshires. Not as winding as the Tail of the Dragon, but it's all we got! Any road you drive in a Vette is elevated to another level anyway.
