Vette(s): 1985 Coupe-L98/Auto,Bright Red/Carmine.
1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
My '74 hasn't seen the light of day since '08. It stays in the garage under cover, no matter what the weather is like!
. The '85 sits outside, under cover. It hasn't been driven since '08 either. Nothing wrong with either of them...just don't wanna drive them at this point. We got 3 other vehicles, and the Goldwing. No sense in adding un-necessary mileage to them. We'll be taking the '74 up to Mid America Motorworks in May of next year, tho.

I really HAVE to drive my car. I dont think I could own a car I couldn't/wouldn't drive for any reason. The enjoyment of these cars is the ride, the handling, and the feel of the car. I have some friends that have Vettes like yours, one of them has a 1982 Collectors Edition with only 17,000 original miles. It still has the origianl spark plugs and original tires. But it just makes for a pretty picture. GOTTA GO, GOTTA GO, GOTTA GO..........

Yes sadly, here in MI the weather has been just great , in the 60's. Just finished driving my Girl last weekend, washed and covered in the garage. Waiting for my sill plates to come in the mail for her then install the battery charger and now wait for spring(April or May around here)
I don't have a garage so mine gets to stay outside. It's a car, it won't drown or freeze to death! and I do have a good cover for it. I plan to drive anytime it's dry out, we have other cars that drive better in rain and snow.
Where do you live?

The weekend before last I got "The Toy" (the '70 convertible) all winterized and loaded on the trailer to take up to its winter storage spot. When I called to make an appointment to take it up there I was told they wouldn't be able to get me in until Friday. So the car sat outside covered on the trailer all week.
On Friday I left the house around 5 o'clock, got the car unloaded and tucked away, and got home about 7:30. As I backed into the driveway my wife was coming in from taking care of her horses and asked why I didn't park the trailer in the usual spot, "It is supposed to snow tonight you know."
"Just a bunch of hype." I replied. "I'll park it in the morning when it is easier to see and manuver."
Here's what it looked like in the morning!

That picture was taken around 9 o'clock in the morning and it didn't stop snowing until after 3 pm. We got about a foot of the white stuff and it was too wet and heavy to use the snowblower so had to shovel the entire driveway. The trailer is still in the driveway.
"The Beast" is covered in the garage waiting for the snow to melt down outside. I'm hoping there are still a couple of nice driving days before "Ol' Man Winter" sets in.
