What exactly are you looking for? Did you loose your keys?

The only ones I have are hardware store cut. they don't turn smooth and obviously aren't GM.
If I just copy them, It will be a copy of a copy & who knows how many before that. I would like to get back to the factory cut.

I've been told that the code is on the original invoice, if you happen to have that. I have had the dealer cut a new key based on an existing key. I don't know if they read the key to cut it or just do like the hardware store does with a key machine, but the key was clean and sharp.
Sorry, don't know any other way to get the key codes without either the invoice or the slugs that came out of the original keys.
Got my car out of a barn and the keys were long gone. I had to find a locksmith with the equipment to find the code in the vat system. He had trouble do to an after market alarm so once I ripped that out I purchases a diode boxe that u can add resistance up with an ohm meter and some utube videos ( thank god for u tube), went to work and figured out the code myself. You can find a list of the codes and values on line.
If I were u unless you like self torture I would call a lock smith first.
Here is a page from the factory service manual for a 1986 Corvette. It describes how to find the key code on the outside of the ignition cylinder. Some dis-assembly required!

If a hardware store key won't turn smoothly, it is usually just a matter of a bit of polishing, wire brushing etc to get it as good as perfect. If you have the car near the store you can go back and forth until it is right. There should be no additional charge as it is their responsibility to produce a decent quality key. I have had to do this once or twice over the years, I have ended up with a good key.
