Short answer...No. More info on your particular issue would help.

I never knew there was such a thing as limp home mode ? The only time any of my C-4s had been on a trailer was the first time they came home with me, I never bought one that ran LOL thats just me
...RV85...hi...sounds like like we fell from the same tree..I landed on my head...paid $1000,,,drove it home ...it ran pretty good this 85 c4 l98 numbers match / doug nash 4/3...190,000 mi.don't know how many owners...bare wires under dash..AC disconnected..wiper motor in a box...head lites don't budge...this is my first computer vette...the ecm is fed by many sensors...if any of them fail the computer/ecm shuts the fuel down thinking that further travel will cause serious damage...this c4 starts fine..throttle it and the ecm shuts the motor down....hits on all 8...it may idle fine for quite awhile...but under load the ecm takes over and you're not going any where.....'Limp Home Mode'.......I guess I was hoping to disable this function.....thanks for any help...not to ruin your day but all of your C4's have this.. j.

with all the electrical problems you just listed, may as well start with a complete rewire and wire trace.
And that will cost you........

Lamar is testing all the forums. He's received plenty of answers!!
fairly unlikely, as the ECU enters emergency procedures eg if a sensor failure occurs. if the ECU wouldnt, for instance, use "best guess" data if the ox sensor fails, the car wouldnt run at all.
do you have a specific problem?
Wolfuser had so far the most accurate response. There is NO "Limp Mode" for the engine control. The only sensors that can keep it from running if they fail normally are the Mass Air Flow and the Crank Position Sensor.
You need to first check for codes. If this reveals no clue, manually check to see what your losing when it stops running, IE check for spark then fuel pressure.
The only limp modes on ANY GM vehicles (and Chrysler too BTW) is in the transmission control. If something fails that causes this feature to engage usually youll only have reverse and second gear to use.
