seal plate covers

Vette(s): 1984 base coupe 17,000 miles all original. very low production number.red on red 3853. pro num.
seal plate covers, witch ones are the best?  Ive seen allot of them  out there however they look like they would scratch up real easy.  i haven't found a metal set as of yet. can anyone recommend a manufacture that makes one that would last.

Vette(s): 1985 Coupe-L98/Auto,Bright Red/Carmine. 1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
Don't know of any metal ones off-hand for the "early" cars, but they do make them(chrome, gold, etc) for the '90 & up cars, I think. Those will not fit on the earlier cars, tho, because the parking brake handle area was different. I bought a set a long time ago for my '85, and then found out they were for the later cars, so they dint fit....they're hangin on the wall in the garage....Cry
