Sometimes I even amaze myself,........ not long ago I bought a set of those door sill protectors for my '93 coupe, they are supposed to 'pressure fit', well they are not tight and slide around a bit, so to avoid the frustration of always fussing with them to keep them in the correct place on the sill, I came up with an idea that is so simple.....I bought some Velcro and took the 'prickly' part ( can i say that ??) and stuck it to the underside of the sill protector and voila .................NO movement and easy to take off and on, best of all it stays in place. I'm sure I'm not the first guy to dream this up, but I sure was pleased with the small brain wave I had this morning.....it works guys.....

It is such a simple idea, you wonder why no-one thought of it before....at least I've never heard of anyone doing it.
Thanks for the tip!

good tip and glad it worked. i tried it with the set i bought and the velcro wouldn't stick right. then when we were putting car back together, i screwed it down and then they cracked and broke all around the screws. may have just been the set i had gotten.

I backed out the factory in the carpet screw a few rounds, placed the plastic sill plate protectors, and the tapped them with a rubber mallet... Then drilled out the dimples and replaced the factory screws with black ones. My four year old co-pilot can't kick them hard enough to move them now.
