About 2 weeks ago, back on March 18th, I ended up selling my 85.  I know everyone here knows I really liked the car.  But, I needed to make a decision about selling.  I only have room and resources for 3 cars.  And, it was at the point at which I really wanted a more modern, newer car for my daily driver to and from my job.  My newest car at that point was an '02 Explorer that my husband uses for his model airplane hobby.  So, I had to sell one of the Vettes.  The 85 needed some more work - new injectors (the originals were leaky) and a respray of the bumpers (clearcoat separating from gold colorcoat.)  I decided to sell her as is.  I got what I feel is a fair price for an 85 that needed the work it needed, and I did buy a 2012 Fusion that makes a good daily driver.  The fact that we still have the 95 Vette certainly makes it easier, but I'll miss the 85.  She was a lot of fun to drive, and I got a lot of enjoyment out of my time owning her.

Sorry to hear this, but one must do what one must. You will miss it I bet, but like you say you still have the 95. And you never know, maybe another one will pop up when you least expect it.

Thanks, guys.  Y'know, it was a beautiful day here today after a week of rain.  We took the 95 out and I enjoyed a nice drive.  I felt pretty good about things after that. Smile    It sure would be nice to have the resources and room for more vehicles, but I still have a nice C4 to enjoy, along with the other cars I like, so I sure can't complain!  I am going to leave my pic up of both C4s, though, at least for a while.

Congrats Laurie -- good things never last forever -- practicality takes over eventually, and I'll bet the '85 went to a good home where she'll get continued TLC and lots of tinkering.

The '95 is a great ride too, along with the Fusion you still have a great stable.

Enjoy the much needed sunshine. We've even got some decent weather up here lately enough to get the '94 out of storage and back home to play with.

BTW, you get the 'shakes' on Saturday?

Colin.

Oh,  glad to hear you're getting some decent weather, Colin.  We didn't get anything much near here expect a few funnel clouds that didn't amount to much.  It's not good for many of the folks who did get the quake, though.

Hehe.  You're too funny.  Confession...I like Chevy, Ford and Mopar Shocked  It was always too hard for me to choose just one!

Maybe some day I'll have a big lot of land and room for plenty o' cars.  You never know, right?

Vette(s): Purchased a 1986 Convert August 2013, Bright Red color with a black top, it'd already received a Tremec 5 speed upgrade along with a disc upgrade prior to purchase.
I hear you on the Chevy, Ford, Chrysler issue - I've had all 3.  Each has their good models and points along with their bad models and points.  Right now I have a Vette, T-Bird, F150 and Caravan.  Each has alot going for them and a few less desirable things about them.

You want a real bummer, got to change out the u-joints on the half shafts, have them on order right now and the weather forecast is about a foot of snow is expected on Friday  Cry

I'm so sick of winter!

 LOL Hug
Nuttin but GM for me, thanks. I've been to the dark side in the past....several Chryslers(including a '66 Hemi Charger), and many Ferds. Had 7 early('64 1/2-'67) Musturds when I moved to the Dallas area, and 3 Lincoln Town cars....and a '78 Pinto coupe(not hatchback). Before anyone says anything, the Pinto had a 2x4 tunnel-rammed, 523 inch big block/C-6 w/4.88 Musturd rear.....waaaay better car than the V8 Vega that almost killed me when it barrel-rolled 5 times on me.....Dead

But...with age comes wisdom, so I'm all GM these days....LOL
2 Corvettes
2 Caderacks
1 'Burban

I DO have 1 Honda....but it's a Goldwing.....does that count against me? Clown
