AH HA!!!! I found our answer!
1994 was the last year of Black Rose Metallic. In 1995 it was Deep Purple Metallic probably a slight color variation but from photos is darn close!

Hey Cheryl, funny you mentioned Hawaii. I lived there for 3 years. I lived on Oahu and worked for Sky Tours Hawaii (also the United States Air Force) so I was able to travel and visit all the islands. At the time I was there (in the late 60's...OMG) I owned a MG Midget no corvette in my budget at that time. On Oahu alone there were plenty of roads all over the Island that were fun to drive, i.e. driving the windy road up to Round Top and down through the "Pass". I can imagine a vette would have been a lot of fun there. However there was only one Interstate and you could not get up much speed until it was either time to turn or get off. I am sure that is all different now. Well if I install anymore stainless steel I will put some pictures on the forum here. Keep that purple waxed! No matter what you call it its a beautiful color on a corvette!

Back to stainless steel covers they sound great but I might have some concerns about heat distribution and oil temp. It may not be a issue but when you put a extra blanket on you could get warm.
I contacted the manufacture and asked that question. The covers are held off the actual valve cover by the Velcro which leaves a space for air flow and heat to dissipate. The valve covers do not get that hot in the first place. However I do plan to monitor them during the summer. So far the stainless steel covers are not even warm to the touch. Time will tell.

You go ahead on. Tons of stainless is made for Corvettes and to date, never have heard of an overheat problem. Wrap your axx in glass and add all the stainless you can afford. The only thing that shoukd ever limit the pride a Corvette owner displays is his/her bank account.
I have mirrored panels covering the entire inside of my '91's hood and a few on the engine area, plan to add more but have been out of work for over a year and kind of careful on my spending.

That's right, no matter what color, the lettering on the side says it all, CORVETTE, and that is all that matters.

You took a guttsy step forward when you bought a Corvette, don't slow down now. All stainless is good, and the more the better. Good luck in all your Vette endevors.
