Vette(s): 1994 Brickyard 400 parade car. 1 of 25, 13 red 12 black. All stock and 100% original.
Before I bought mine early in 2012 I had to have it appraised as the bank would not give me ($12k) anywhere near what the seller wanted ($21k). When the car came back valued at over $24k the bank cut the check and I was a very happy man!

Want to know exactly what your car is worth, get it appraised!!!

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
Every time I think of a newer Corvette, which is only natural, but I remember that I've put about $14,000 into my 87, and could probably get $5000, if lucky, and I drive it 65 miles every day  to work and back, getting 21-22 mpg, and driving a Corvette every day, and then I think, I'm lucky to have it, 186,000 miles and all, but it runs like new, looks like it's been used, and is still a Corvette.  Now that I've fixed everything and replaced most of the suspension, engine peripherals, and it runs like it should, regardless of miles, I think I'm better off keeping it on the road than selling it for nothing and putting money into another.  For now, like you all said, we're drivers of Corvettes and that's a pretty sweet deal.

When I started looking for a Corvette last year I ruled out the C4 because it was old technology. I ended up buying a 2003 C5 with 4800 total miles. After I bought it I didn't want to drive it for fear of adding miles to the clock.

Wanting a Corvette I could drive I started to take a second look at the C4's. I found a 1996 convertible for a good price and grabbed it. Sure I've put a few bucks into it, preparing for the coming summer, but now I have a Corvette I can call my "beater" car. It will be driven every day it's practical, once the snow and ice are gone and it's safe to take out.

The C4 is a drivers car. It's meant to be driven and appreciated for what it is, a reliable car that can be kept original or upgraded into something personal without fear of degrading the value of the vehicle.

It seems a decent C4 can be found for anywhere between $4500 to 'sky's the limit'. Like it was previously said, a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Enjoy you car. You own a Corvette. How many people you know or work with can say that?

Regards,

Vette(s): 1992 coupe. Custom.
I, vow to NEVER sell or give any corvettes away, ever again.
I bought a 69, new, also a 75, new and a 79, used. Now, I have a 92 and have looked at the new ones. I have a 2 car garage and Mr. Vette, lives in it next to the wifes TANK!
Selling a vette, is like giving away an old mistress. You will miss her even though your new mistress is slightly newer, younger, faster, more refined but, not as loving and comfortable as the old broad.
Remember your first love? Still on your mind? Remember how well you fit together? How comfortable the feeling was? The freckles on her butt? The pimples on her nose? The scratches on her arms?
Mr. new guy, aint the same. Oh yes, more flash and bang, but not the same.
Those of you that have had a , side babe, always go home to the old broad. Why?
She is there, waitng to hold you in her body and bring you to hightened pleasure.
Same with that old fat assed vette.

Vette(s): 1996 collectors edition lt4 convertible 10,000 miles, silver exterior, black interior. purchased 4/20/12

I agree with all of comments listed with this exception. A almost perfect car such as NCRS TOPFLIGHT, BLOOMINGTON GOLD cars and following certifications that can be achieved and very low millege cars will bring a lot more value to the car. Very low millege ZR-1's,1996 Grand sport convertibles and 1996 Collectors Edition LT4's convertibles will bring $'s. Why? Because there's not many of them for sale. Trust me it took me 2 years to find my 1996 Collectors Edition in almost perfect condition. It scored 98.6% for TOPFLIGHT this past Jan 2013 Regionals in Kissimmee, FL

C4's were daily driver cars and they made so many from 84-96. Mine came with a 50 page binder with all paper work from date of order to present. This car was never intended to be a daily driver. I'm the 3rd owner and will do the same. It's to new and not old enough, but one day it will be there. High $'s only time will tell.

I'm going to enjoy my C-4 while I can. I will be 55 in a few months and by the time these things are worth any "Major" money I figure I will be long gone. So I am going to drive mine, turn heads, enjoy the comments, revel in the looks in I get from others, and absolutely adore it when some young guy says how come you always see old geezers driving these cars.... I'm gonna drive it, love it, and enjoy every second of it. And that ladies and gentleman is PRICELESS....
