It is a 1994 Brickyard 400 "Festival" Car. 25 Corvettes delivered to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the inaugural race, 13 Torch Red and 12 Black. They were used during the opening ceremony to introduce the 43 NASCAR drivers and some VIP's to the fans in the stands!
jester, is this vette a zr1 even though its a pace car? i like this car want to sell here or trade for a 2013 Harley Davidson street glide. just kidding
enjoy it . however if you get tried of it and want to get rid of it i get first dibs OK.

Not a ZR1....they were fully loaded convertibles, all automatics, delivered to the tech center then to the IMS. There is a rumor about a 30hp boost while the tech center had them, but I cannot get confirmation.
Oh and roger on the dibs but I don't think this car is going anywhere. If I thought about selling it my kids would kill me....

If C4s were worth a lot of money I would not be driving a Corvette today. I enjoy it, it passes the California emissions tests, gets better gas mileage than either my 92 Tbird V6 and better highway mileage than my 92 Ranger 4 cylinder.
I got it for a very fair price and don't drive it every day. It's probably a #2.5 car. It has chips in the paint in a few spots and the a/c and seat bladders don't work and needs new amps in the rear speakers.
It's an occasional driver and I take it to cars shows. I have fun with it that I could not have if I was driving a 40-100 thousand dollar Corvette.
I can probably sell it for more than I paid and definately profit if it was wrecked. The point is to have fun. It's not a gold bar and those are losing value. Ha Ha.
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

every c4 vette out there is losing money, who cares just enjoy it drive it like you stole it. perhaps in the long run the c4 will be the one that every collector wants. keep it ll original.

Vette(s): 1996 collectors edition lt4 convertible 10,000 miles, silver exterior, black interior. purchased 4/20/12
jonney I agree that most all C4 drivers are down, but there is a select few that aren't losing money. It all depends on what the buyer will pay and the more certifications your car gets(ncrs or bloomington) the value will increase. But compared to the number of C4 built that is a very small number of cars like very low millage ZR-1's, grand sport convertibles, very few collectors edition again with very low millage. ZR-1's and grand sports will bring $'s in the mid 40's. Collector Edition convertibles with LT-4(especally red interior) can bring in the low 30's. All these cars have to be almost perfect cars.

hey jonney, go on Rogers Corvettes.com Maitland,FL My car was brokered thru them. Roger has only mint cars. I know him. He only excepts 1 out of 10 cars on this show floor. His place is excellent nothing but great cars to buy. When you go to Daytona you must go there it's unbeleiveable. He has his personal collection on display worth millions.
