Guys,
When I get over 50 MPH, the steering gets way too soft in my opinion, the car feels squirely. Is there a way to stiffen the power steering? Everything's stock as far as steering and suspension. The engine is putting out more power now, so I need to start stiffening up and replacing suspension/handling parts.

Check for 4 wheel alignment first. If it were any other GM I would say to check the steering wheel speed sensor but this item is only on cars and trucks with variable assist power steering. These sensors go bad frequently causing steering to be way to easy at highway speeds. I could not find out if Variable assist power steering is available on your model year vette but if it is that is one thing that would need to be checked.

Hi, I removed the power steering pump & reduced the amount of pressure by approx. 150 psi, steering is noticably heavier without being to heavy. I actually have some feel in the steering now which is better.
