Vette(s): 1984 base coupe 17,000 miles all original. very low production number.red on red 3853. pro num.
as your driving along, your tires are wearing down. where does the rubber go? does it evaporate into the air or embed it self into the asphalt,or concrete. it would be interesting to know.

Some ends up as fine particulate dust that we all breath in, certainly a few tons a day in any metropolitan area. It sticks to car, buildings, etc.  Most is deposited on the side of the road, to be washed away in the next rain.  Some estimate place the US annual residue in the 500,000- 700,000 tons a year range.
Makes you want to clay bar your car 4 times a year, doesn't it?
