Hello all,

Since my Vette was just a few years old, the buttons for the automatic AC control haven't worked well.  It started with the buttons on the left (off, temp, AUTO) but now has grown to most of the buttons don't work most of the time.  It doesn't seem weather or anything else related just 9 out of 10 trips I can't adjust the temp or turn on the defrosters.

Is this a common problem and is there a fix?

thank you all in advance

Todd

I think you will find that the front face plate of the climate control will come off. Clean all the contacts and reassemble.

Caledonia is correct. The faceplate can be removed. The console facia comes off first, then work your way up from there. Please search other sites for complete instructions as this problem is universal and an easy fix. Once the faceplate is removed, the contacts are easily cleaned with a pencil eraser.
