I recently found this excellent link to our Corvette freinds in Australia.

It is a link with excelllent pictures showing how to recover C4 sport seats.
I ordered seat covers on foam and found the pictures on the link I provide here very helpful.

I found the easiest way to mount the bolstersBig smile to the seat frames was to mount the bolsters with tacks after first drilling pilot hole for the tacks first with an electric drill with a small drill bit.

I hope this link helps all who are attempting to recover their C4s.

Vette(s): 1995 Coupe Red, automatic, all original, haven't changed a thing -- except the tires, battery, stuff like that. You know what I mean!

My seat covers for my 95 sports seats are showing a lot of wear on the driver side.  I was thinking of iggee or some kind of neoprene covers until I can re-do with real leather.  Any suggestions?

Love my C4!

I don't know about the sport seats but, I swapped my passenger side cushions with the drivers side. I ran across an article a few years ago on some 'vette fourm. It works!

I have normal leather seats, but very worn.  I went with Iggee, and am very happy.  If I could find some leather seats at the right price I'd get them, but until them, the Iggees seats look  and fit great!  And yes, I moved my seat cushion from one side to the other to distribute the wear.  No issues with that.

Also, when the seats get wet (I have a vert)  the vinyl doesn't 'complain' like the leather.  A dry towel to wipe them off, and I'm good to go.

On a side note, my power seat stopped working on the passenger side.  I bought manual tracks and they went right in.  much cheaper than fixing the motor, and nobody seems to mind the manual effort!! Smile

Why leather seat kits are so expensive is beyond me.  You can buy a leather couch for less money! LOL

Good luck!!

I recovered my seats 5 years ago and used the same instructions Earl is sharing on this post. The article was very helpful and the seats still look great 5 yrs later.
