Has anyone purchased the leatherette seat covers from Coverking? If so how about ease of installation. Any comments?

I replaced mine about 5 years ago and the covers came from Ecklers. I took a look at Coverking's website but don't know anything about them. The covers from Ecklers were actually made by the Amish in PA and the quality of the leather is excellent and the fit was spot on.

If we're talking about replacing the seat covers (not installing a cover over the existing seats) it's a bit of a job, but not too bad. The staples are heavy duty and you have to bend them to remove the old covers. Be sure to use new staples when installing the new covers and I highly recommend the special crimp tool. I didn't and it made the job a lot tougher on my hands and wrists. The project took about 16 hours and that included a thorough shampoo and cleaning of the carpet since the seats were out

Let us know if you went with Coverking and how it turned out. Their website looks impressive and appears as though they cater to a lot of high end cars

Seat Covers bought and received from Carking with the C4 flag logo embroidered at the headrest area. Should be installing them real soon (temperature permitting). Manufacturing quality and material looks really awesome. I will reply with how the installation went and maybe even a photo or two.

Very interested in the outcome, and pictures, too. Some fit, but most just fit too loose. I'd love to do this job, but I'm concerned about the fit. Hope you've found the holy grail. Mark

My son and I did the covers on our '87 last spring. With discounts and free shipping from Corvette America it was a great deal. Leatherette for both seats cost $314 delivered. We found we had to build up the original foam a little due to age shrinkage but that was easy. It was all of 14 hours of work but that included carpet vacuum and wash and I installed better seat webbing for the bottom cushions.

Good Seat Cover Day everyone. The installation of the seat backs and bottom covers went fairly easy. The backs are a perfect replica design of the originals (except for the embroided in color C4 logo, that is dynamic) and simply slip over the seat Easily hook and loop lock (velcro type) at the bottom back, hint pull the cover tight from inside the hatch area as you get better leverage( not very comfortable but leverage is there). The seat cushions are also a perfect OEM design and slip over the existing cushion and are pulled tight with several locking strap clips. I used a metal tape measure, tape the clip to the tape measure and it allowed me to guide it from the back of the seat all the way forward missing all the "stuff" under the seat. I am not thrilled with the cut out opening in the rear of each cover that allows access to the seat back folding lever. To me it is a bit large and is a difinate give away its a "seat cover" add on. However I am sure I will get use to it in time. Color, I purchased the Light Gray and it matches my interior perfectly. My only issue, oh yes there is always an issue...the weather here in Central New York. Cold and cloudy even if Spring is only a few days away. Temps in the teens and thrities are not conduceive to installing seat covers. My garage is not heated except with a portable heater and it does not get the garage up to a temperature that allows the "leatherette" material to be real flexible. Original seat leather and covers texture felt about the same and a little hard to work with. The cold temperatures keep the covers from forming to the existing seats a bit. However I have noticed that now that they have been on for a while (even in the cold temps) I can pull them tighter and they are starting to look much better. As soon as we get some warm weather so I can make seat hugging adjustments I will send some photos. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality, feel and appearance. The installed covers have already enhanced the interior. Recommend, yes I would. Pictues will follow, when its a bit warmer.

Ha Ha.  I've heard cover king makes a great seat cover.  Since my interior is black and it's blasting hot here in the summer I think the vinyl would be a bit hot for me though.  I'd have to keep them shaded to prevent skin transfer. LOL

If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....
