I am new to this forum so as soon as I get more comfortable about how to use it I will put a picture or two of my 35th and the description of the repairs and improvements I have done so far....Phil

Do I have to download pics from my computer or from another site? Is there a procedure thread that I missed? Is there an explanation thread about the blue star and in starting this forum are we welcome at other gatherings until we get started? I bunch more questions, where can I look?....Phil
The only requirements for using images is that they must reside on an internet server (or website) and the should conform to size guidelines (200x200 max image size in signatures and 400x400 max image size in posts). You can upload images into your Personal File Folder here on the site (look for the 'My Personal File Folder ' link on the 'My Account' menu tab/page) and use them or use the URL address (http://.........) of an image uploaded on another internet server.

To edit your signature click on the
Member Control Panel icon found near the top left hand side of most forum pages, then click on 'Edit Profile' link and scroll down to the Signature textbox.

Click on the 'Forums Code' link to see some helpful syntax examples and when you're ready to see what your signature looks like click on the 'Signature Preview' link.
If you want your signature to appear on every post you make click on the 'Yes' radio button under the Signature textbox.
When you're happy with what your signature looks like click on the 'Update Profile' button at the bottom of the page and you're good to go.
Keep the questions coming. There are answers out there for all of them.

Thanks, Norsky!
Some other sites that you may have pics stored/displayed on may not allow direct links to them, so those may need to be up-loaded to your PFF here. Most places (photobucket, picasa, putfile, etc) do allow direct links, but there are some that do not. Just a tip in case you can't get your's to work.
We're here to help, also, so if you have an issue with photos(or anything else), just P/M me or one of the other mods, and we'll help.

You can do either.
You can upload pics from your computer to C4VR a few different ways.
To add a photo to your Personal File Folder:

The blue star next to names means "Standard Member." Currently, everyone is a Standard Member. If ever there are different levels of membership, those stars will have other colors. (On C3VR there are different levels).

You can try the Support Forum for answers. Or post a question there if you can't find an answer.
Thanks!

You can do either.
You can upload pics from your computer to C4VR a few different ways.
To add a photo to your Personal File Folder:
- Click the "My Personal File Folder" link under the "My Account" menu.
- Follow the directions on that page to upload a file.
- You'll be provided with the URL to the image once it is uploaded.
- You can then use that URL throughout the site or on other sites.
- Click the
Member Control Panel link at the top of this page.
- Click the "Profile" Tab
- Click the "Click here to Add a Photo to your signature" link
- Follow the directions on that page to upload your signature photo
- Once uploaded, you'll be provided with directions on how to add your uploaded photo to your signature, so follow those directions.
- Once you've created the signature you want, click the "Signature Preview" link to make sure it looks ok.
- Once you're happy with it, click "Update Profile" button
- Click the
button (located just above the post entry box).
- You'll be able to upload a new file, select a file that you had previously uploaded to your Personal File Folder, or you can enter an existing Image URL from C4VR or any other site that allows you to link to their images (ie. Photobucket)
- Click OK once you've made your entry.
- The photo will be added to your forum post.
