I had hail damage on one of my cars. My insurance has stated on the estimate to have paintless dent repair.
I was under the assumption that clear coat does not flex and will crack with this type of repair. Truth or fiction?

Regardless of how they do it, it must still be done to your satisfaction, so...if it ain't right, take it back and make them do it right, and charge the ins. Be sure to let your ins. adjuster know ahead of time about your concerns.
I think it may depend on how deep the ding is...it if didn't crack the clear to start with, it might be ok, but....I ain't no bodyman/painter...

I agree, but try to do it via e-mail so you have a copy of your concern and the adjuster's answer.  A  paper trail is a powerful weapon.  Paper covers rock!
