Vette(s): 1985 Coupe-L98/Auto,Bright Red/Carmine.
1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
Well....technically, there were no sale-able '83s, tho there were quite a few actually built. There is at least one still in existence, at the National Corvette Museum. There have been rumors of one or two(or more) in private hands, but those have not been confirmed.

Cool
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

gm had production problems when they first started building the new c4 in 83. because of the Doug Nash trans over drive, among the frames not meeting standards. remember this was a hole new corvette. well they destroyed the first 45 they built. Vin number 00001 is in the museum. when all the problems where resolved the made around 4,000 of them in march of 83, however they didn't sell them until April of 83 however they where titled as 84 corvettes. if you go to museums web sight it will tell you the history about these corvettes. also you can become a member with great benefits.
