Does anyone think that the 84c4 will become a real collectible in the near future ? because of it being a one of a kind. first c4 body design, cross fire eng. electronic dash. what are your opinions about this.

Being first of it's generation may have a certain pull for some collectors. But for most, I suspect the crossfire is not a big selling point. My opinion is the ZR-1 and Grand Sport are the only real "collectibles" of th C4 generation, both limited production with special characteristics.
Me, I just drive it and enjoy it, it's worth what I paid for it and what I've done to make it go faster, etc.
I had one and enjoyed it for 9 years. Did a few things to up the HP had about 250- 280 over that time I put about $9,000 in itbut had a good time. Keep it and drive it.

I didn't order my 1984 to be a collectible. I didn't care for the C3's, although I inherited an 80, so wanted what was next for the Corvette. I felt I would like it more, and I do. But if the C4's become collectible, then all the better.

Might be a few more "collectible" C4's than you think!!!! (i.e. pace cars, parade cars)
I suspect that any 1996 C4 with the LT4 engine will be a hot item. If you can find one in decent shape with decent mileage for a reasonable price, go for it. All LT4's have the 6-speed manual and I'm told it is a sweet engine. So much the better if it is the Collector's Edition.
