now here is where the problem is. the street i have to go on to get out of my development needs a light at the intersection but according to the DOT here there is not enough call for one. it doesn't matter if there is at least one accident a week and about 50 near misses. anyway, on saturday morning i was going to the body shop to do some stuff and of course the traffic is backed up. the side going north clears and the side coming south has one car that is turning in where i just came from and another car going straight. great i can make after the second car. WRONG. the first car as it is turning slows down to admire the 90 and says how nice it is. in doing so i had to wait again to get going and make the left.

 

told my friend at the body shop that this  is one of the drawbacks of a corvette. i think that they should pass a law that people have to yield to corvettes trying to get into traffic.

 

However, in the interest of saving time and effort drafting a new bill that might take years to get passed into a law, and require you to have to deal with uhmmmmm..... Politicians,..... ewwww cant believe I actually used that nasty word....

 

 Cities and states have to keep records on high traffic corridors, which includes crashes. If you can get someone (Like a city councilman) to pull that information on your intersection and it has that many crashes you should be able to get your councilman or representative to lobby for a traffic light.
