After a long winter I finally had the chance to pull the cover completely off of my baby and get her out on the road again!
(I've had it partly off for battery charging etc but it was still winter out!)

The sound of the exhaust rumble, the pull of the engine and the handling on the winding road was great! How I missed my car!

I took it down to the Chevy dealer nice and early and had the oil changed for the up coming season and looked at the blue 2010 Corvette they had on sale in the showroom while waiting to have the car go in.
The salesman tried to sell me on Corvettes but it was too late, he was preaching to the already converted. He asked why I was there (hoping I'll buy a car) and said it was to get my car serviced and of course he asked which one? I pointed to the silver Corvette outside and he went out and looked at it and came back in and pronounced it a sweet looking ride. He hadn't seen a CE before and since only 83 made it into the whole of Canada, it's a very rare edition up here.
While the new one was nice, I'll keep mine just the same.
Man, I've missed driving my car!

should have bought the 2010 and then you would have two to show off.

Well, if I had that kind of money and the space, I'd go for the 40th anniversary edition in a convertible and other specials that were built.
Mind you, it was still a nice car......
