Been Verified advertises on the Corvette Registry. They ask you to give them a VIN for a particular vehicle. I gave them two, one for a 1993 ZR-1, and a 1996CE. I paid the $5.00 fee. They could not locate either vehicle. One is sitting in my garage. I had to call and get my money back. Maybe, they shouldn't be allowed to advertise for C-4 Corvettes.

I don't know anything about how that site works. Maybe they only can do it starting with a certain model year for any car?

Sounds like you got it resolved through them, which is good. Because, of course, we have no control over any of the services provided by any company that runs ads on our website.

It could still be useful for newer model years or other cars, though.

I just went to the site and entered a random 2011 Corvette VIN. It said it found it, then went through some seemingly unnecessarily dramatic wait to then ask for my email address.

But up to this point it had not asked me to pay for anything.

Did you have the same experience? Did it tell you it knew what the VIN was for but then after you paid them said they have no report data?
