How do people that stupid get that much money!! What kind of idiot spends $4.5 million for a piece of junk to put in his living room! And that was just the worst, there were way too many examples. I like hemi's but $1.2 for a purple street rag top! Really!! And Mr. Jackson turns down $1.8 for a Shelby mule! Please. They should lose everything they own for being such Bone Heads!  Angry Thumbs Down

I truly believe that this whole auction is a sham, if you look at some of the prices that people pay or supposedly pay for the cars it doesn't make sense. Do some research on a certain vehicle and even a #1 car isn't worth what they pay. It's just like reality shows, there is no way the prices are real, they do more damage to the hobby than helping it. I can see some of the very rare cars going for big money but most of them I just don't believe it.

I don't watch the Barrett-Jackson circus anymore. I've found that the Mecum auctions are more realistic and beside the hosts are more fun to listen to. I'm not rich enough (not rich at all) to understand the buying of a car that never gets driven. My garage is no museum.

My take from the last B-J Scottsdale was that prices have fallen in the last 5 years....a quick example; 70 Chevelles didn't hit the 6 figure sums like they were...This past January, they were only getting 70 - 85K on average.

I agree with a previous poster, in the fact that prices are driven up by the people who have more money than brains. I'd rather enjoy looking at the cars pass through the block and worry very little about the price 'cause I'm not the one buying Wink

Remember, there's no place like ~ ;)

I agree, watching the Mecum auction is more enjoyable.  It especially has less commercial time.  Can't stand watching the "B-J" auction anymore.  These auctions are way outa my league anyway.  But I do like lookin' at the rides, something to do while waiting for "spring".  Save the Wave!!!

Audience reaction is just as bad. People applaud stupid high prices. If somebody gets a great price on a great car "I" would applaud.
