1974 Coupe-L48/4speed, Medium Red Metallic/Black Deluxe.
This is a poll to test the waters on whether or not the C4VR Members would be interested in having an "Official" C4VR Gathering in the future. Nothing is planned at this time. This is simply a poll to see what kind of interest there might be. If the interest is high enough to make it feasible, then we might move forward with some sort of discussion on it, as far as the "When, Where, etc".

I think a C4 event would be great. Logistics would of course be an issue. I'm not going to the west coast in a 25 year old GM product! Assuming I get my '86 back on the road. I have it apart in several areas repairing and upgrading for the summer. Heater core is shot, battery is shot, and I have the injector runners off to polish to a high shine as I saw on this site a couple months ago!

Vette(s): ‘94 Arctic White CP, LE2 Heads, Cam & Intake, EM LT Headers, Magnaflow, RT Cats, 30# SVO Injectors, 58mmTB, Built A4, 3:54 gears. Short Shifter Mod, Flame Ball, Mod Red Interior, Carbon Fiber Finish Console & Dash trim. Pioneer DVD Nav/ USB/Aux/SD player
I voted that "it might be fun" over I'm all for it, because I'd be hard pressed to do a west coast or even mid-america get together. If there were region get togethers that is one thing. I belong to a couple other online communities and the get together thing has always been a great idea but not everyone will be able to participate because of distance driving and such.
I'd be cool with a North East Get together if there was enough people willing to pull it off.
Depends on Location. I have seen C4Vr stickers on some of the shows I have attended in the Philly area. It would be great to meet you guys!
Sounds like a great idea-I can't get enough Corvette activities. I would also be willing to volunteer to produce promotional materials announcing and promoting the event.

I can say from experience that these things always wind up being the most enjoyable "events" I have been to. I have been to a few of the C3VR Gatherings, and it's always a blast. As far as driving a 25 year old car long distances, I'll tell ya that I have driven the '74 from Dallas, Texas to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee(over 900 mikes one way) for one of the C3VR Gatherings with no problems. We also drove BOTH the '74 and the '85 to the NCM Anniversary Celebrations, and from there on up to West Verginny and back, with no issues with either of them. We will be driving the '74 up to Mid America Motorworks this May for the C3Fest/C3VR Gathering, too.
So...the cars being old isn't the issue....it's getting them ready for the trip that is(that...and packing all of Mama's stuff!).
The C3VR Gatherings rotate locations every year, so one year it's in the Eastern area of the country, the next the Central area, the next the Western area. This way, just about everyone has an opportunity to get to one. We have one member that has driven from ALASKA to just about all of the C3VR Gatherings...and he's also a member here.
There's also the possibility of trying to co-ordinate a Gathering at one of the other major Corvette Events, such as Bloomington, Carlisle, or Mid Am FunFest....
We'll see how he poll goes, and take it from there.

Hey, I m going the the C3VR Gathering why not combine both groups. There is nothing like meeting new friends and a gathering with Corvettes for a few days of fun. I know a gathering with C3VR and C4VR would be a blast, 100 plus club cars meeting all in one place for a weekend of fun. Lets make it happen, "Are we there yet"....Terry
