Vette(s): 1981, think about getting a 1992.
I would ride anywhere with sundew, my kinna music !!  But I am suprised that nobody has mentioned "Born to Be Wild" or "Bad to the Bone" not even "Mustang Sally"
Maybe it is because I am a member of the "older generation"   Anybody know what song, this line is from????    "Ride, Daddy, Ride !""

Ride Daddy Ride, is from a song  "Cold Light"..  Not sure of the artist..  And being from that "older generation" you mentioned, I agree with your songs....

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
I was always a Doors fan, but for a kicker road song, try Prince's "Go Crazy" (... when the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy...)  (I think it was on the Purple Rain album, before he became a symbol and was still a guy)  Great song, anyway.

I like to play a lot of 50's and 60's music when I am cruising with the top down which really looks funny considering I'm 37. I guess I'm trying to transport myself back in time.

That's cool you like the "oldies" and if you want to go back in time, how about retro fitting the Delorean's Flux Capacitor from the movie to work in a Vette. I sure wouldn't mind getting a few years back in this old body !  LOL
