Maybe this will stimulate some conversation...

Im thinking of getting some GM stock. It bottomed at .29 cents earlier in the week. It ended the day today at 75 cent. Nowhere near the ammounts it used to be. Im not a big investor, but I do watch the market. I dont know that it will ever be where it once was. However, if it even gains back to the teens, theres a deffinate profit to be made. Im also not a big fan of the way the government has meddled in this affair, but I do belive GM will survive and eventually begin to prosper again. What do you guys think of GM stock right now. Im deffinately seeing a buy and sit on it kind of position.

I did not know it hit $.29.

I'll buy just to say I have some, and then sit on it as well....a hundred shares...29 bucks....who cares if it goes to zero!!!!

Thanks for the heads up!

Jim

BTW, at that price, I'm gonna buy more....

I agree, 100 shares is about what I spend on microfiber towels a year.  I might just buy some in my grandkids name, who knows, they may be rich some day.

It worries me with the government basically in charge that GM will fail because they will make cars that they think should be built and not the ones that people want to buy.  The government can't even run the government right so what makes them think they can run a car company?

NOT!
I'd agree on getting stock at such a ridiculous price, tho. Even if it does tank, it's memorabilia that will always be worth something!

Well, its looking like it will close the day around the 1.20 mark. Not to bad as far as return goes right now. Only thing is that my etrade account is fubar so I havent been able to buy as of yet. Anyone know any better place than etrade for a low buck investor just startin out?
