Good morning and hello to all you other C4 owners..!! While searching for some answers to a few problems I’m having with my new purchase last night I ran across the site and joined in.. Its great to see the enthusiasm is still alive and kicking in the world of fiberglass.. lol At 67yrs old I’ll take all the excitement I can get lol.. I’ve been a vette owner most of my life starting out with my first one a 67 coupe at age 17.. It’s been almost 10 years since my last one an 87 convertible until I ran across my latest purchase of an 89 base convertible with just over 22,000 miles.. A beautiful barn find from upstate NY... I’ve gotta say I had given up the idea of owning another vette until I stumbled across this one and as we all know once you’ve been wrapped in glass it’s all over... Bought over the Internet last month almost sight unseen she turned out to be a real beauty I’m looking forward to passing down to one of my step kids.. But only after the break in period of about another 30,000 miles lol... With only a few minor issues I’d venture to say this one is the best of all the 19 vettes that I’ve owned.. I’m systematically going through the whole thing replacing anything that has deteriorated over the years but for its age she looks like she just came off the showroom floor.. Down to the factory installed plastic carpet covered floors.. Well folks that’s my story and I’m sticking to it... lol Guess you can say the rest will be history in the making...
