I went to a Corvette and high performance meet over the weekend.  There was a website promising 900 vendors but it sure didn't seem like it.  I didn't see much for my C4 there, and felt a bit underwhelmed.  But...  the real gem of the day was my meeting with the representative of the National Corvette Museum.  He was mostly interested in selling insurance there.  Proudly proclaimed that the vehicle involved in bringing the materials they assembled was stuck in a ditch in a blizzard, etc. someplace in Illinois.  Then... said salesman tried to discourage me from making the trek to Bowling Green for the C4 Gathering.  Told me that not very many folks show up for it and it wasn't worth the bother.
