Vette(s): 1984 base coupe 17,000 miles all original. very low production number.red on red 3853. pro num.
the weather in Ohio wasn't to bad on Tuesday around 45 degrees. so i decided to work a bit on my 84 i removed the passenger seat to check out the carpet and i found a lic plate its white and it said Chevrolet in blue and in the middle of it it said USA-1 red white and blue with stars it has real small holes for the screws to hold it on the bracket. the tag was in a white envelope with the dealers name and address. i saw one of these tags on you tube watching a commercial for the 84 corvette from gm. does anyone know about this tag and what is was used for.

I don't know for certain, but for years the "USA 1" was synonymous with the Corvette. It would be my guess that it was either bought for a front tag and forgotten about or maybe even put there by the original dealership and just never used..... I remember my Uncle had one given to him from the dealer with his 68 Chevelle SS....
