The Mystic Lake All Corvette show (280 corvettes), sponsored by the Classici Corvettes of Minnesota was held this pas weekend. The Admiral , my '94 coupe, and I have had quite a day. All of the extreme detailing paid off as we won best in show for the C4 (1984-1996) group at the Mystic Lake All-Corvette show. It is especially gratifying because The Admiral is driven to C3VR gatherings (Bend, OR, Charleston, SC,) plus various trips around the upper midwest. The car is totally stock, no tweaks, no bling.
The high point of the show was the presence of a C-7 Corvette pre-production model driven from Detroit by Tom Peters, director of external styling for GM high performance vehicles. His team was responsible for the external design of the C-7. Photos do not do the car justice. It is one nasty looking machine, but I still really don't care for the styling around the taillights. Tom was the keynote speaker at the anquet that was held Saturday night, and it was very interesting to hear about the concept and execution of the new Stingray design, a most excellent weekend!!in Forum: General C4VR Chit-Chat
