The forum is swelling with new members  Clap and the diversity of screen names makes one wonder...how did you pick yours?

Mine was pretty easy...used to go to dances as a teen, local DJ (Jerry Blavet) hung it on me when a record called JimmyMack came out ( for you youngsters, that was a song out of Motown back in the day...when your parents were dating LOL).   Fit my given name , so it has followed me for years.  Even my adult daughters call me by that name sometimes.

What's your story?

My last name is Adams, so mine is a bit of werd-play..... Years ago, I had a '58 MGA I was building as a race car. It had a small block Chevy in it, and a Corvette rear end. It was also red. While gudendrunk one night, I had a vision of what I wanted painted on the car, as far as a graphic, and it involved an apple. From that time forward, I have used "Adam's Apple" as my moniker on any red race car, and also as my screen name.

somewhere around 1990 i bought a used 1986 bronco 2. when i had the insurance put on it the agent said it was an eddie bauer edition and i started calling the truck eddie. i bought a bug shield for it and someone had eddie painted on it for my b-day. after that people started calling me eddie. when i first went on the internet and needed a user name i chose eddieand my house number. when i joined c3vr i used eddie208 plus the year of my vette. when i joined here i just changed the 75 to 90 as i own a 90 too.Thumbs Up

I got my screen name from my wife and kids.  They call me the Car Whisperer because I always seem to be able to fix their cars stubborn mechanical problems (for free of course).  The whisperer part is a bit of humor though.  I really don't whisper at the cars, I sometimes have to yell at them (the cars) with vocabulary that would not be deemed appropriate for this forum.

I'm a cop and it's a reference to the "Thin blue line" of law enforcement that protects the good guys from the bad guys.

Well, my name is Dan Skopp.  Also a variant of my screen name on the C3 web site.

I'll bet that it involved a film with Spencer Tracy and Katheryn Hepburn

It just happened.  Needed a screen name; my first name is Larry and I'm going to be talking about cars thus = Larry/car.
