the season has officially started here. the town had their annual christmas parade today and your truly was part of it. there were two car clubs present and about 50 cars. lot of great looking cars. model a, few mustangs, few hot rods and other restored cars, and even a batmobile (from the tv series in the 60s). but i must say the best car there was my corvette as it was the only one there
. know it is early but hope everyone has a merry christmas.

Bah Humbug on da parades!
Too dang cold/wet here. Last time I did a parade, we took both Corvettes. The city had us hauling some dignitaries around in them for the parade, so they had signs made to hang on the cars, to show WHO was in each car for the TV cameras....problem was....the signs were magnetic .
We all had to scramble to find some yard/twine to hang the signs on the cars...looked REALLY professional....NOT!
Then we had a guy in a '66 run smack dab into the rear of the all original '65 in front of him, killin the poor ol Rudolph he had hanging on his grill....
I ain't much for creeping along at 1/2 mph, on city streets, with a 4 speed.....Thanx, but no thanx!
Ain't nuttin against anyone else that enjoys doing them...just not my cup-o-tea.
Yeah...I know....Scrooge be thy name!

aint that bad joel. it's cool seeing all the little kids at a parade
.as far as creeping down the street, i have an automatic but there were plenty of cars there that were sticks. should have made the people who made the signs carry them along side the car
. and as far as people running into a car, that can happen anywhere and cant say what i call them on here
. other than all those gripes, have a great christmas.

Won't be long before it hits here, either. Had some snow north of here yesterday, and it's quite cool today.

My first post on the C4VR forum so I thought I would chime in. The season is certainly started in Iowa. The temperature is supposed to dip to - 17 degrees in northwest Iowa tonight. Thank God that we in the southeast part of the state are only going down to 25 degrees. There won't be too many parades around here for awhile unless they have funeral coaches in front of them.
