in the process of cleaning my garage out (hopefully will be done in a year or soRolling On The Floor Laughing). i have seen these wheel dollies and was wondering if anyone has ever used them. you put one under each wheel and you are supposed to be able to move the car around.

any input would be appreciated.

I use them every year when I store my '90 in my daughter's garage during the winter.  Once it's on the dollies I rotate it and slide it to the back of her garage so she can still get her car in.  They work great but it takes two people to roll it around.

Hi - I got a few sets of cheap dollies  ( $50 cad - a pair)  with steel wheels from Princess Auto and use 'em to squeeze 4 vettes into a 24 x 24 garage for the winter (or crappy spring and summer - like this year).  I like them because they have a rounded pan that the wheels sit in so I think I'm eliminating flat spots.  The only downside for me is if your floor's not super smooth, they're a little hard to manipulate by yourself but if you have help, hot bad at all.   I have a friend thad stores Hudsons.  He uses the go-jack style with the rubber wheels - puts 'em in place, removes them and blocks the cars.   Either way,  If your tight for space, they seem to be to be the only way to go.  Cheers!!

But...YOU bought the house from HIM!!
Just kiddin!

As has been said, the smoother the floor, the easier they are to move around. One person can move the car if the floor is nice and smooth...painted is even better.

One thing I will throw out there, since we're discussing these rollerblades for cars...
At least here in Texas, most, if not all garage floors have a downward grade to them...higher at the front, lower at the door end. This is done, so I've been told, to make it harder for water to make it's way into the house if you decide to wash the floors with a hose, as well as if the rain water gets a little high.
Something to consider if you're putting your car up on 16 small rollers...

at least they were smart enough to slope it towards the doorRolling On The Floor Laughing. i have a detached garage and being the guy wasn't smart enough to put two doors on a two car garage he wasnt smart enough for the floor. it is basically level. thanks joel, good points to consider.
